Senior Lecturer CV Template

Senior Lecturer CV template

This is a Senior Lecturer CV template for academic posts, especially senior lectureships. It is designed as a model and a basis for your own academic CV.

There is no need to include a personal statement on an academic CV. Start by describing your relevant qualifications.

Depending on whether the job you are going for prioritises teaching or research you may wish to bring a different section to the top of your CV and put more emphasis on it. But for lectureship CVs you will need to include details of your teaching, research, funding successes and administration experience.

For senior lectureship roles, you will usually be applying as an established academic, so you are not only illustrating that you have been involved in the management and strategic planning for your own department, but also that you have carved an important position for yourself as a researcher at the heart of your field.

Unlike lecturer posts, senior lectureships will assume that you have experience in the following new areas: external examining; editorial skills (journals or books); refereeing/peer-reviewing.

Do not forget to include the contact details for two referees at the end.
