Conferences and travelling: the glamorous and not so glamorous truth

In her 2nd Vlog, Abbie talks about the amazing opportunities that international conferences can offer, but also discusses the downside of jetlag, time away from research and the impact overall of long haul travel.

“It’s all about the balance,” she says, “overall, conferences and other international events are hard work but well worth it. Having said that, it is best to plan well and prioritise which events you want to attend. There are usually more events taking place than are practical to attend.”
